-Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki/Yamaha/KTM/TM/ Husky/Husaberg /Ducati and Triumph.
Please do not hesitate to get hold of us regarding work you may require.
I run the business from a small workshop out towards Figgju. However I do receive my customers from my home and offer a drop off service and or 50cc scooter to get you home while I partake in any work.
A brief History of the business -
I moved to Norway at the end of 2014 from England. To start a new chapter in my life with my Norwegian girlfriend.
I've spent the last 9 years working at my father motorcycle business. Completing a 3 year apprenticeship upon leaving school. But the mechanical knowledge and understanding started way before the age of 16.
Working on many motorcycles from as young as 10 years old with help from my very experienced father.
With the many years of experience picked up from my father and the 9 years working in his successful business I now have a very wide understanding of motorcycles and a very large array of contacts to support me in my work.
Specialising in Race preparation,Full engine overhauls/rebuilds and suspension set up and re gassing of suspension using nitrogen.
I am able to bring these skills to Norway and transfer this knowledge and understanding to your motorcycles.
Racing History -
Having ridden/raced motorcycles for many years in many different disciplines. Coming from a father who has raced for over 30 years and 2 younger brothers who also race I've been brought up around bikes left right and centre.
Winning the British Hillclimb champship has to be my greatest racing achievement but since 2009 I've taken part in the British supermoto championship in the Elite450 and Open Elites. Also riding in Europe at famous tracks like Mettet in Belgium.
I've also dipped my toe into Roadracing and have been on the podium on several occasions winning the overall at a track called Aberdare in Wales in a class full of top quality riders.
I plan to continue my racing here in Norway now that I've settled in and will be hoping to continue this Roadracing abroad a 600 or 1000.
So my knowledge and understanding is always growing and I know exactly what it takes to compete at the highest level of motorsport so transfer this to any work I complete on your motorcycle.

Burde kanskje vært splittet i en annen tråd, dette har jo strengt talt veldig lite med hvilket dekk vi kjører med
I would like to apologize to anyone I have not yet offended.

Ok I feel like I should post something personally instead of the old Chinese whispers beginning as that is never good
So I am jimmy the proprietor of Moto-Tech. I created the company purely to offer you the customers a service you deserve at prices that don't require you to sell the house or even kids if you fancy it.
I run the business form my current location in Sandnes in an old converted farm building. But don't be put off by this I have invested huge amounts of my own money making the workshop up to scratch and fully equipped with the correct equipment required to run a motorcycle workshop ( Not one of these car workshops that claim to be bike mechanics...)
Anyway I am to provide you the customer an experiance and prices that better anyone else in Norway. I have done my time in a very popular workshop in the Uk ( 10 years to be exact) and hold many skills in engine builds to general repairs and servicing of motorcycles. There really isn't a job I can't do in my workshop I even offer custom engineered items on request using a lot of machining equipment a good friend has.
Anyway I have now set up a trade account with Dunlop Norge and and wish to ask you the customer what do you want? What Dunlop tyres do you like to run? If any as I see a few guys on here are using Michelin and some on the new Conti's that I actually fitted for Tobias
I can also supply all the other major brands on request thats no issue,I have some great contacts in Germany for all the brands. But I would like to push the Dunlops as much as I can as they appear to be a popular choice here in Norway
Anyway if you would like to email me on moto-tech@outlook.com with any questions you may have regarding repair work, the new tyre deal I have set up and or prices on anything from services to a simple can I pop up for a coffee please feel free. I do peak a little Norwegian as I have a norwegian partner and also a young 6 month old son. So I'm learning all the time
I run this business as hobby/business right now and to be honest I have lots of work to do but I wish to keep pushing on and building my customer base so I can do this full time.
I am looking at a new building to progress to very soon that I plan to kit out with everything required to run a successful motorcycle business but I need your support and help to make this possible. I for one will go to great lengths to repair, advise or simply make you a great coffee if it means I gain a new customer who can pass on the good words of my company. I purely go on word of mouth and recommendations right now and if for any reason any of my customers are not happy with the service I provide I promise to not charge you anything for my work. How many shops can say that In norway

Re: Hvilke dekk kjører dere med?
I am very pleased with the service Jimmy has provided for me and have allready booked my third job at his shop
Re: Hvilke dekk kjører dere med?
Nice too hear from you Jimmy
There is a lot of guys in norway running on sport touring and trail tires. Because of the cold conditions we have here, this is often the best choice. There are of course a lot of guys running sport rubber on their Speed Rockets, but the word on the street is that Dunlop last much less than other sport tires.
I am really curious about the new sport touring tires from Dunlop, but won't try them before i read som good reviews on them. I'm in love with Pirelli for my kind of driving.
Some Norwegians care a lot about price. So if you are cheaper than motorcycletires online, you will get a lot of customers. But sending tires around or across this country are expensive. Do you have any deals with transport?
Sorry for my poor english

Re: Hvilke dekk kjører dere med?
Ok that's really good information to know actually as the conditions in the UK are much warmer often so we can take more risks on what to run.
To be honest I don't blame you but saying that the new Dunlop Roadsmart has received exceptional reviews across Europe by testers. So I may just do my own testing with one and see what there like.
Regarding your pirelli's what are you running ? Also I wouldn't be able to comment on the wear as everyone rides differently but maybe I need to get one lucky rider a set to put it to the test...
I've been very strict on my prices and constantly strive to keep them where they should be. I'm from the UK so was a little shocked when I saw the prices other garages were charging for work and or parts... So I've looks high and low for the cheapest highest quality parts on the market!
Saying that though I need to sort the delivery situation in main land Norway, maybe someone can advise me of what companies can do good deals on say a pair of tyres to a Customer...
Don't apologise about your English... It's fantastic! Also much much better than my Norwegian
Jeg snakke og forstår litt norsk
Glad you're happy Tobben84 just waiting for your triumph filter from the Uk still. All original equipment parts to keep it in line with the warranty. Will contact you as soon as it arrives and we can book a date where you can come by
Thankyou to all my current customers and to the new customers or to anyone that is interested to see what I'm about you're always welcome to pop around for a coffee and a chat.

Re: Hvilke dekk kjører dere med?
The big 2 for "post" shipping are PostNord and Bring, these 2 basically handle all shipping for online stores in Norway, but your milage may vary with regards to getting good prices, as that is a volume game i.e. loads of shipments.moto-tech558 wrote: Saying that though I need to sort the delivery situation in main land Norway, maybe someone can advise me of what companies can do good deals on say a pair of tyres to a Customer...
Re: Hvilke dekk kjører dere med?
I use to run a bmw s1000rr... the best tires i had on that bike was the pirelli angel GT. Fantastic tires. Now I own a ktm 1290 super adventure and run the original continental trial Attack tires, but will change them for the new pirelli scorpion trail 2 tires. I see that metzeler and Dunlop are coming strong with 2 new tires this year.
I bet there will be a lot of customers who are happy to deliver tires for you. I have heard about a service where you can look up people online who is traveling the same rout that you need to send something. And for a small fee you can get privat people to deliver it for you.
